  • 19 Jun 1791—1841: Province of Lower Canada (Quebec) and Upper Canada (Ontario) formed
1835 
  • 26 Oct 1835: Lamoille County Vermont was created from parts of Franklin, Orleans, Washington and Chittenden counties. When created, it contained the towns of Belvidere, Cambridge, Eden, Elmore, Hyde Park, Johnson, Mansfield, Morristown, Sterling, Stowe, Waterville and Wolcott. Mansfield and Sterling were later dissolved and merged into Cambridge, Morristown, Stowe and Underhill in Chittenden County.
1837 
  • 1837: Rebellions in Upper and Lower Canada are put down by government troops. The rebel leaders, Louis-Joseph Papineau of Lower Canada and William Lyon Mackenzie of Upper Canada, are forced to flee to the United States. McKenzie along with the Hunter lodges in the USA stir up the Americans to attack at Windmill in Prescott, Ontario. They were mostly captured and along with previous rebels sent to Tasmania. Some of the leaders were hung.

  • 10 Feb 1841: Upper Canada becomes Canada West, and Lower Canada becomes Canada East: they are united into Province of Canada
1867 
  • 1 Jul 1867: Province and territories joined Confederation, or were created from existing parts of Canada: New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec
