    Notes 
    • A year after her mother died at age 16, Almira married Goldsmith Richardson and had two children. Goldsmith died six years later.

      Two years after that, Almira married Levi Blodgett when she was 24. They had seven children. Levi died in 1871 and Almira died in 1898 at age 85.

      Almira lived with her daughter, Cassandra Etcher, in her later years.

    This history is written by Justus Merriam from recollections of his father Johnson Merriam's account of the Merriam family coming from Connecticut USA to Northumberland Co., Ontario Canada. Copied as it was written, spelling and genealogy mistakes and all.

    AR Merriam printed this book in 1934 for family members. His grandson Paul Merriam owns the original handwritten book.
