If you would like to share your information by entering data directly on the Merriam Family Tree website, you will need to request a special user ID and branch authorization. You will also need to get comfortable with how data entry works on TNG - The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding, the software upon which our website is designed.
You will be given access to add, edit and delete persons, places, marriages and other family information as you become familiar with all the major features of the website. No other users will be able to see any data you enter except the administrators. Once your data is reviewed and approved, it will be ready to release to the public part of the website.
There is a learning curve to using TNG, so the administrators will be available to assist you. Just use the Contact Us icon or email MFT at: MerriamFamilyTree@gmail.com. In addition, you will have access to learning tools that are provided by the creator of TNG, Darrin Lythgoe, and his assistants.
